Great App Finds, Freebie, & A Sale

Well it's GREAT FINDS SUNDAY on Monday!!!!! Better late than never right, and it has been more than never lately!! 

Is anyone else on spring break this week?!!!!

This week I have some great technology and app finds for you, as well as a $100 giveaway!

My first great find is an app called "Apps Gone Free."

 "Apps Gone Free" posts normally paid apps every day that have GONE FREE! Some of them only free for that day! I've seen apps as high as $19.99 go free for the day and have gotten several apps for myself ranging from 99 cents to $4.99 for free! I have gotten a couple of cheezy ones in the process, but who cares....they're free, so just delete them!!!

My next great find....also to do with apps....is finding Grace's website at www.imum.com. Grace is dedicated to finding the best and cheapest educational apps out there for families and their children. Every day she posts free and discounted apps for children.

Book Creator is also another great app find I've been playing around with, where you can create your own ibooks. I learned of it at a ULS staff training last week, but I want to play around with it a little more before sharing too much about this app. In the meantime, check it out for yourself.

SymbolStix Tutorial & Great Finds Sunday Linky

I've had a couple of people ask me how to insert SymbolStix symbols into a template, so I've made a tutorial to show you. It can be tricky to figure out on your own, but once you do it, it's super easy!! Personally, I like SymbolStix much better than Boardmaker.

Now onto some great finds! 

"Great Finds Sunday" is where every Sunday I post some of my great finds for the week and you can too! Your great finds do not have to be educational. It can be anything you found helpful or that you think might be helpful for others. It can be resources, sales, websites, recipes.....you name it!

Have you heard of "Tator Tots & Jello?"....the blog that is? I just love her blog! You should subscribe to her weekly newsletter if you haven't already! Do Any Worksheet on the ipad With "NOTABILITY"

Do you use ipads in your classroom? Even if you have just 1-2 classroom ipads, I am going to show you an incredible app that will allow you to upload and edit any pdf document, activity or worksheet on the ipad. With this app, you can not only save paper and time copying, but you will increase student engagement by allowing your students to complete their worksheets on the ipad. If you're into increasing student engagement through technology, you will definitely want to read on!

This app is "Notability." And it is only $2.99. So the first thing you will need to do is get the app. 

Tip: If you're having trouble viewing the small print, hold down your ctrl button on your keyboard and press the + button until it is enlarged to your viewing preference.

I am so excited about this app! 

My students are much more engaged and are wanting to complete worksheet after worksheet. They are actually begging me for more....IMAGINE THAT!
