Great Finds Sunday Linky!

I'm back with another "Great Finds Sunday" to share with you my great finds for the week!

Have you seen this awesome giveaway??

"Teacher Created Resources" is giving away a $150 gift card! All you have to do is follow them on Pinterest and create a "Chevron Classroom" Pinterest board. And if you love chevron like I do, you probably already have one! You can enter {here}.

Do you have cinder block walls in your classroom and constantly fuss with getting things to stay on the walls?? Then, you will want this tape!

This is "Mavalus Tape." A colleague recommended it to me and it works! All of my posters in my room are now sticking "mavalusly!" (Note: For my plaques and heavier items like my framed degrees I use industrial strength velcro.) I just ordered another roll of Mavalus because mine is already about gone! You can get it from Amazon {here}. It is only $4, but the shipping is also $4, so you end up paying $8....but well worth it! You can also visit their site {here} to look for a dealer near you to save yourself the shipping. Unfortunately, there is no dealer in my little rural area.

Are you a member??

...of the National Education Association?? Sign up...it's free and the perks are SUPER!

These are just a few of the places you can receive discounts from!

I just got two free magazine subscriptions from them just for being a member and lastnight used my NEA coupon for my local steakhouse and got $15 off of our bill.

Some other awesome perks they offer for members are:
15% off at Carson-Dellosa
20% off at Smile Makers
20% off at Lesson Planet
25% off at Corwin Professional Learning Resources
20% off at the Dr. Seuss online store

They also offer member discounts at Costco, 1800 Flowers, H&R Block, and discounts on car rentals, hotels, car/home insurance, there's just too much to list! You need to check it out and become a member! You can do that {here}.

Do you have some great finds to share?! Link them up below and share the linky button on your post with a link back to this post, so others can join!

RACE TO 100! FREEBIE

While many of you have already celebrated your 100th day of school, I know many of you have said that with all of your snow days....you don't know when your 100th day will even be at this point! Well here in Nevada, where we've never had a snow day, our 100th day was Monday. Here are some of the activities we did!

The kids had to build a concoction using 100 cups!

Tootsie roll pop experiment!

We made predictions on how many licks it would take to get to the tootsie roll in a tootsie roll pop. Would it take less than 100 or more than 100??

They recorded their licks with tally marks using this sheet from TpT.

The results were quite interesting and varied from student to student. Some students unveiled their tootsie roll in less than 100 licks, while others took almost 200 licks!

We made 100 days smarter hats!

And in our math station, students raced to 100!!
Simple, but loads of fun! Students roll a die and move that many spaces. The first one to 100 wins. Students can use their own gameboard and actually RACE by continuously rolling to see who gets there the fastest....or you can have students share the same gameboard and take turns rolling one at a time!

You can download this freebie from my TpT store {here}.

If you're still looking for math activities for next week, check out my FEBRUARY MATH pack!

81 pages of Valentine themed and Common Core aligned math printables and centers for K - 1.

Check it out {here} and discounted through Sunday!

Stop back by tomorrow for......

Great Finds Sunday! A Linky Party!

Welcome to my new weekly linky party!!! Every Sunday I'll link up my great finds for the week.....and I hope you will join me and do the same! After all, as bloggers we are always blogging about our great finds....and as blog readers, why do we read blogs??? To look for great ideas and goodies! So why not link all of these great things up in one place each week!

Feel free to link up whatever!!!! It doesn't have to be educational! I welcome you to link up products, craft ideas, blogs, websites, apps, sales, freebies, giveaways, recipes, coupons......the sky is the limit! However, it's not a place to link up and market your own things, but a place to link up and share your GREAT FINDS!

I'll go first!

My first great find this week is this adorable, cutesy Valentine idea from "Crayons and Whimsy." Aren't they just the cutest? Students give themselves as a valentine to their parents! Such a clever idea. Hop over to her blog for the poem and instructions.

Have you heard the rave going around yet about jamberry nails??? You can check it out {here} on Christi Fultz's FB page and get a FREE sample to try out! Just click on "free sample" at the top of her FB page and fill out the form with your address!

A SUPER Giveaway from "I want to be a super teacher!" Did you say thirty-one products?? I LOVE thirty-one bags!

An awesome Pinterest board devoted to just GIVEAWAYS! Who doesn't love a great giveaway? I know I do! I never win, but it's fun to enter and wish! I figure one of these days I'll get lucky! You can access the board {here}.

My last great find of the week....

Man, this soup is delicious!!! If you like stuffed bell peppers, you will love this. It tastes just like them! We had a staff superbowl party at school on Friday and our administrator made this! Mmmmm, mmmmm, good! You can get the recipe {here}.

Now it's your turn! Link up your great finds for the week below! Be sure to add my button below to your post and link back to my blog so that others can join the fun! Feel free to use my number templates too if you'd like! Which btw, those and the cute graphics for this linky are from:

Currently & A New Linky Party

I'm linking up with Farley today for February's "CURRENTLY!"

LISTENING - not important!

LOVING - YAY! For once I am in the first 50 to link up with Currently! Normally I'm like in the 2-300's. When I started writing this post, I was number 42, so let's see what number I am once I actually post and link up! I bet by the time I finish this post, I'll be number 51.

THINKING - today was the last day I am going to see my little Downs syndrome boy, Tony. I've been his teacher for 3 1/2 years and it was a sad day. He's moving. When he came to me 3 1/2 years ago, he knew nothing. He could not speak or do anything for himself. Today, he uses simple words to make requests and greet others, he uses a "Go Talk" to communicate fluently, he knows his colors, he can count to ten, match his name, follow 2-step directions, match objects, (ok I'm starting to feel like I'm writing an IEP here). Anyway, it is so sad to see him go!

WANTING & NEEDING - A new printer! My printer now works just fine, but is uses tooooo much ink! I've been looking into the "Brothers" printers. What printer do you have or suggest???

2 Truths & a Fib -
1. Yes, I really did just get sued for my a fight my daughter got into over 2 years ago at school. Some people are so money hungry.....are you serious.....really? A little disgusted with this right now! So I better not say much more!
2. YES, I am starting a fun, new linky party tomorrow!!!

Every Sunday bloggers can link up their greatest finds from the week and read and discover lots of other resources and great finds from other bloggers! I figure as bloggers that's what we do anyway in most of our posts. We share "GREAT FINDS!" So why not share them in one place!!!!

GREAT FINDS SUNDAY will be a place where you can link up and share whatever you FIND GREAT that week........
websites
activities
crafts
freebies
sales
recipes
coupons
................any GREAT FINDS are welcome!!! I hope you'll check back tomorrow and link up your GREAT FINDS this week!

3. FIB - No, I do not get up at 4 am and run 5 miles every day! Those that read my blog or follow my FB page, know that I am a night owl and that on the weekends I am just laying down at four! I am not a morning person!!

Hope to see you for the new "GREAT FINDS" link party tomorrow!

Freebie Friday With A Giveaway!

Tomorrow is the first day of February and boy do I have a great Valentine Math Pack for you! I'm so excited with how every page turned out!

It includes over 80 pages of Valentine themed and CCSS aligned Math for the month of February! Activities are suitable for Kindergarten and first grade. The majority of the pack is no prep, but for those that LOVE colorful centers like I do, it also includes hands-on centers for number bonds, fact families, whole part part, roll & remove, tens & ones, and telling time.

Don't want a pack that requires a lot of prep and color printing??

Then, this pack is still for you! Use it with or without the colorful centers as I have designed the center recording sheets so that they can be used with the center or also work just as a printable worksheet!

Here is a preview!

Here are two sample worksheets from the pack that I'm offering for FREE!

Just go {here} and download the preview to snag these two freebies!

I'd also love to give another one away! Just pin it or share it on your blog or FB page. Leave me a comment below with the link to your share and I'll pick a winner Sunday night!

Oh, and isn't the "Be My Valentine" bunting banner on my cover page so adorable? You can get it and two other adorable banners for free from Paula Kim Studio {here}.

Happy Friday!!!
