It may seem like a small milestone to some of you, but many of you were there at one point......my TpT store just reached 300 followers this week!!! It was just months ago that I only had 50 followers! So that only means one thing.....a giveaway!
I've also been trying to think of something I can do to give more to my blog followers and to get more people reading my blog! I need some inspiration! Inspiration from you! I make so many posts that get no comments....not one! My posts are often viewed by many people, but no comments! Am I that boring? Sometimes I feel like I'm just talking to myself......so why bother, right? It's just those few comments here and there that keep ya going and make you feel like you're helping someone, giving back, or that what you have to share is important.
So if anyone is reading this....what are some things you'd like to see more of or learn more about? I've given up on linky parties, as I've had three and no one ever linked up....oh I actually did get one link up on one of them! LOL! Last year, I made the resolution to do a weekly blogging tips series....which I gave up on after 4-5 months of no responses!
Then, I got to thinking.....what am I good at? What is my specialty and something I really know alot about that could benefit my teacher followers! BEHAVIORS! That's what I'm good at....shaping and transforming behaviors! I love taking the most challenging kid that no one can do anything with and transforming them to the most well-behaved kid!
So....on that note, I was thinking of taking this and running with it! All teachers face behavior challenges in the classroom, right? Maybe I'll do some sort of weekly behavior Q's and A's on the blog. Still working this through my thoughts of how it would work. I'd love to hear any ideas you may have!
And on another note.....I've just updated my "Writing Frames" set with two New Year's writing frames.
If you've purchased this set or want the set, you can download the revised set from TpT. Or you can grab them below for free. Each frame has two levels; one with lined paper for those students still needing practice with letter spacing and formation, and a level for the more advanced writer.
And now the giveaway I promised for reaching my 300 follower milestone on TpT!!!!
a Rafflecopter giveaway
I'll pick two winners for this giveaway.....each will get to pick ANY 5 items they'd like from my TpT store!
Be sure to spread the word!!!!! Have a great night!
I will look forward to you posting about behavior management in the classroom.:). I would also not mind reading about how you find the time to implement everything in the classroom. I need a lesson on time management:)

ReplyDeleteFor the first time in 14 yrs I am working as CT, pushing into 3 different grade levels. I would love to read how to effectively do this to maximize my time with my below grade level readers & math students.
ReplyDeleteHi Traci! I'd like to read more about managing behaviors! I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI really like your blog and will definitely comment more. I would love to know more about changing student behaviors like paying attention and following directions and how to make these behaviors constant. Also, I would love to know more about writing with students.
ReplyDeleteOne of the areas I need the most help is finding ways to reward the good choices without breaking the spirits of those who just don't get it. I've tried reducing the number of points needed for rewards, watching for EVERY good choice certain children make and as often as possible, rewarding groups based on that behavior. Yet, I still end up tossing out behavior management systems after two or three weeks because they aren't helping the issues at hand.
ReplyDeleteAnything common core math would be great!
ReplyDeleteI love your idea of Q & A's for behavior issues. I am only subbing at the moment, but I have several that I routinely work with that are definitely a challenge. After having worked with special ed several years ago, I love new ideas to try.
ReplyDeleteI'm REALLY excited about the behavior posts that you are proposing. We have some unbelievable behaviors in my building and the "behavior specialists" we hire to consult with us don't seem help much even though they are trying so I hope you have some awesome ideas! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
